THE manager of Nuneaton Griff has branded tomorrow's last 16 FA Vase clash with second-favourites Salisbury FC as the "biggest game" of his career.

Charlie Reardon, who was a long-time player before taking on the number one role a year ago today, guided the Heartlanders into this stage after knocking out AFC Wulfrunians three weeks ago.

Step five Whites - who are one tier higher than Nuneaton - make the trip to The Pingles Stadium, having conceded just five games in the previous six rounds, which is something Reardon is wary of.

The 33-year-old told Nuneaton News: "For me, personally, it is the biggest game that I have been involved in as a manager.

"It will also be the biggest game some of these players have ever taken part in.

"But despite that, it is important we do not get lost in the occasion. It is after-all just another game of football."

"For us every round we have played in the FA Vase has been like a final, so playing Salisbury will be no different.

"We will have to raise our game if we are going to compete as Salisbury are from a higher level of football."

Whites boss Steve Claridge is taking an 18-man squad to Warwickshire, where they will stay overnight at a nearby hotel ahead of Saturday's 3pm kick off.

Steve Walker and Taurean are both ruled out through suspension while Robbie Matthews and Gareth Barfoot are still nursing injuries.

The winner will go into Monday's quarter-final draw, which can be watched live at Wembley on the Periscope App from 11am, and bank £2,500 in prize money.
