SALISBURY City Under-16s romped to a 5-0 victory over Wimborne Town at Bulford 3G pitch.

Jacob Colligan and Joe Dixon started to link up well down Salisbury's right and created a couple of good openings.

Colligan then became provider and put Alex Kaunda through to score the Whites' opening goal.

The hosts continued to attack the Wimborne goal, with Theo Wolfarth playing a beautiful cross field pass to Josh Sommerton, who beat his man and crossed in for Liam Greenough to score the second.

Ryan Penny then had a shot which went just over the cross bar before being denied by an incredible double save by the Wimborne keeper, Rohan Baynton.

The visitors came out the second half looking to press Salisbury high up the pitch and played some excellent football through the middle of the hosts, but Sam Mills and Ben Moore stood firm.

Penny's well-placed free kick made it 3-0 before Greenough nabbed a brace. Kaunda and Matt Gunstone Grey combined well to provide Higgins an easy opportunity to score Salisbury's fifth and final goal of the afternoon.

Whites travel to Forest Green Rovers on Saturday.
