SOUTH Newton & Wishford United had some special visitors on Sunday at their annual player recruitment day/end of season presentation day.
After a successful fun session, where several new players were welcomed to the club, the under-8s and 9s received their awards from managers Keith Darling and Jamie Davies.
Following the players' presentation, two representatives from Wiltshire FA - Greg Coulton and Richard Gardner - presented the club with the FA Charter Standard award. Receiving the award, chairman Mike Plowman, said: "I'm delighted the club has received this award and has been recognised for achieving the required standards of coaching qualifications, welfare, training methods and policies.
"This has taken a great deal of work and I'd particularly like to thank Rod Cooke for the huge amount of time and effort he has put in to achieve this award. This award will be instrumental in the continued growth of the club."
