HYDE 2nds’ skipper Seth Loader led from the front with a century as his side continued their push for the Regional Division 3 West title with a massive 247-run home victory over Farley 2nds.

The contest was particularly one-sided especially as the visitors brought only eight players with them and they soon were chasing the ball all around the park as Hyde amassed 299-6 through openers Loader (113) and Rob Holbrook (51), followed by Tim Broomfield (23), Matt Bull (22) and Roger Tuddenham (23) with only Gary Seymour (2-33) wanting the remember his figures.

Farley had little answer to Alex Kang (4-23) and Will Roe (3-12) and the eight-man team surrendered for 52 in which Andy Stagg made 17.

Burley 2nds’ ten men were dismissed for 129 and Lytchett cruised home by ten wickets at Kings Park but it was much better news for Ellingham 2nds who beat Bramshaw 3rds by seven wickets at Picket Post. Bramshaw were removed for 138 and then Mike Dodd hit an unbeaten 71 in the home side’s reply.

Ringwood continued their push for promotion in Regional Division 2 West with a five-wicket win over Pylewell Park 2nd after Tim Melbourne (4-14), Dave Butcher (4-18) and Richard Thomas (2-13) had the visitors out for 97 in 34 overs.

Richard Percy (35 no) and Adrian Watson (19) put on 52 for Ringwood’s second wicket before three wickets fell in quick succession and it was left to Percy and Nick Ashman (12 no) to steer them home in 40 overs.

Although Alderholt’s Ben Westwood hit an unbeaten 104, it could not stop his side from losing to Totton and Eling 3rds by 94 runs at the Turnpike Recreation Ground.

Nick Bungay (159 no) and Dave Rouse (52) took the home side to 288-4 and then Keith Simpkin took 5-42 as Alderholt folded for 194 in the 41st over.
