HIGHLY RATED Portsmouth goalkeeper Alex Bass has been signed by Salisbury.
The 18-year-old arrives at the Ray Mac on a month's loan from the League Two outfit, where he will be reunited with Pompey teammate Christian Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The 6ft 1in keeper progressed through the Fratton Park outfit's youth categories and first appeared on the club's first team bench in March of last year. He has gone on to be a substitute 36 times.
Bass was offered a one-year professional contract in April and made his full debut in a 3-2 defeat at Coventry City in the EFL Cup a week ago.
"We're grateful to the Portsmouth manager Paul Cook for agreeing this," said Claridge.
"We welcome Alex to the Ray Mac and look forward to seeing what he can do."
Bass will go straight into tonight's squad against Bishops Cleeve as Whites look to bounce back from double defeats in Evo-Stick Southern League Division One South and West (7.45pm).
