SALISBURY Sea Cadets (SSC) took part in the Annual Sea Cadet National Combined Regatta last month, and six teams were crowned champions.
In a fiercely competitive event, the T.S. Salisbury’s rowing teams raced against sea cadet forces across the country, in the battle to become national champions.
Salisbury’s rowers had experienced a successful year heading into the regatta, with victories at Wessex District Level and Southern Area level, the latter providing entry to the national final.
Eight teams from the SSC reached the London finals, resulting in a hard training schedule before the big event.
In a fantastic display at the Royal Victoria Dock, six of the eight teams won their finals to become national champions, with a further second and third place finish wrapping up a successful day on the water. The cadets parade Monday and Thursday evenings at Churchill Gardens.
