STEVE Claridge has swooped for Christopher Onoufriou ahead of Salisbury's trip to promotion-challengers Evesham United tomorrow (3pm).

Midfielder Onoufriou joins Whites from Sydenhams Wessex Premier outfit Andover Town, who he has made 15 appearances for this season.

Born in Southampton, Onoufriou played as a professional for Cypriot side AC Omonia after being on the books at AFC Bournemouth for six years.

Since returning to the UK, he has had spells with Tiverton Town, Blackfield and Langley, AFC Totton and Eastleigh.

The third year physiotherapist student at University of Southampton is alongside fellow newcomer Mason Walsh, who made his debut on Saturday.

The pair will travel to The Spiers & Hartwell Jubilee Stadium as part of an injury-hit squad.

Skipper Kane O'Keefe is ruled out with a hamstring injury, Steve Walker is doubtful after still not fully-recovering from the head injuries picked up in a car accident a fortnight ago and Sam Roberts is suspended.

Eighth-placed Whites take on an Evesham side who have won their last 10 games and are second in Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West.

The reverse fixture was played on the opening day of the season as a late Tommy Wright strike secured a Salisbury win.
