DURRINGTON Otters made a splash at the Swindon Dolphins' meet.

The Otters bagged 11 medals from 32 events against some stiff competition from Basingstoke and Guildford.

For the nine year old boys, Charlie Richardson took bronze in the 50m freestyle. Liam Primmer grabbed bronze in 100m individual medley, 50m backstroke and silver in 50m breaststroke - his first medals in a Level 3 meet. The 10 year old boys saw Jack Rinaldi snatch silver in the 50m freestyle and in the 15/16 age group, Wilf Richardson won silver in 100m individual medley and a bronze in 50m freestyle.

In the girls 11 to 12 year old class, Imogen Primmer took gold in 100m individual medley, silvers in 50m butterfly and 100m backstroke and a bronze in 50m backstroke.

The hard-training Otters are now eyeing up the County Championships in January with several swimmers looking further afield to the regional competitions in May 2017.
