SALISBURY parkrun jogged effortlessly past another milestone at the weekend.
The number of finishers at the weekly, free-to-enter event on Saturday went past the 25,000 mark since it formed in June 2015.
Fastest on the day was Ben Brewster of Southampton AC, whose 16min 26sec run on the twisty four-lap Churchill Gardens 5k course was one of the quickest of the 90 weeks of competition. The course record, set on the faster three-lap course during the drier days of summer, stands at 15.23.
Second on Saturday was Lee Syrett from the City of Salisbury club, with a time of 18.42. Quickest among the women was Kate Richards, unattached to a club, who clocked 21.51.
Ages of the 462 finishers ranged from 10 to the 70-74 years category.
