A SALISBURY runner is taking on the London Marathon later this month in memory of her auntie Patsy Calton, who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2005.
Hattie Yeldon, pictured, will slip on her running shoes for the 26-mile race on April 23 in aid of Breast Cancer Now.
The 22-year-old’s aiming to raise £2,500 for the charity.
“Her caring and brave attitude to life is a true inspiration in my family and I know that she affected the lives of many others too,” said Hattie.
“Breast cancer touches the hearts of everyone. It’s a disease that will impact almost every individual in one way or another, and the research carried out by Breast Cancer Now helps to eliminate this pain from our lives.”
Prior to getting a place in this year’s marathon, Hattie had only ever run a few miles at a time.
