AMESBURY TOWN’s poor form continued as they lost 3-0 to Team Solent in their penultimate game of the season.
Town are safe of the relegation places but came into the game of the back of their 6-1 defeat to Salisbury in the Salisbury Hospital Cup.
All three Team Solent goals came from Giovanni Landu, the striker first goal came in the 28th minute after receiving the ball from a cross, and he turned well to give Solent the lead.
Solent doubled their lead just before half time, Amesbury created plenty of chances in the second half, but were punished for not taking them and Landu completed his hat trick on 65 minutes.
Both teams continued to create chances late on in the game, but Solent hung on for all three points.
The Blues close their campaign at Cowes who are one place below them in the Sydenhams Premier Division on Saturday April, 22.
