HORSE trainer Seamus Mullins', Chesterfield won the QTS Scottish Champion Hurdle at Ayr on Saturday, April 22 beating a high class field of top grade hurdlers.
Chesterfield is a 7 year old chestnut gelding owned by The Rumble Racing Club and was rode by Dan Sansom.
Seamus said: “This is the biggest success to date for our team at Wilsford Stables with the added bonus of being ridden by our yard conditional jockey, Dan Sansom, making the win even sweeter. I would like to thank the owners, The Rumble Racing Club, for their continued support and who could probably be heard celebrating in the winners enclosure back at Wilsford”
Jockey Dan Sansom said: “This is my biggest career win and I’m very grateful to the owners and the boss for the opportunity to ride such a talented horse.”
