SALISBURY FC have agreed terms with former Winchester City captain Stuart Green.

The attacking midfielder, who scored 13 goals overall last season for the Hampshire side, also play in the Evo-stik Division One South and West.

The Whites played Winchester three times last season, with the club saying that they were impressed with his performances and scouted him further.

Winchester City boss Craig Davis said: “We offered Stuart Green a good deal to stay at Winchester.

“He hummed and hawed for a while, but he feels he needs a different challenge and he's going to Salisbury.”

Green has become the third player to sign for the Whites this season, following the arrival of Chris Shephard and Jake Wannell from Weymouth.

A spokesperson from the club said: “We look forward to Stuart joining us for pre-season and thrilled that he will be part of an exciting season ahead for the Whites.”

Salisbury kick off their pre-season against Kenny Jackett's Portsmouth on Saturday, July 1 (3pm) at the Ray Mac.
