THE Sydenhams Wessex League fixtures have been announced, with the Premier Division games starting on Tuesday, August 1 and the Division One fixtures kick off on Friday, August 4 and Saturday, August 5.
Rae Hughes’ Bemerton Heath Harlequins kick off their Premier Division campaign away against Andover Town, in a 7.45pm kick off, the Hampshire side finished last season in 13th place, two places behind Bemerton, who finished 11th.
Amesbury Town who are also in the Premier Division will start the season away against last seasons fourth place side Blackfield & Langley, which is also a 7.45pm kick off.
Gareth Horner’s side finished 19th last season, will host local rivals Bemerton on Tuesday, February 6, (7.45pm) with the reverse fixture also a Tuesday night on September 26.
In Division One Liam McConnell and Rob Lakeman’s Laverstock and Ford, who finished sixth last season start their campaign away to Ringwood Town, on Saturday, August 5 at 3.00pm.
Downton also play away from home on the opening day, Ben Smith and Nigel Green’s side finished 11th last season and will play Folland Sports, who finished 19th last season on Friday, August 4, 7.45pm kick off.
The Robins will host fellow Division One side Laverstock on Tuesday, August 29 (7.45pm), with the second half of the season’s fixtures are yet to be announced.
