THE Sydenhams Wessex League Cup fixtures have been announced, Downton will play at home to Ringwood Town in round one, which will be played on Tuesday, September 12, the Robins got to the third round last year before being beat by Hamble Club 3-1 on penalties. If they beat Ringwood they will play either Totton and Eling or Sholing.
Laverstock & Ford will play away at Division One side New Milton Town, on Wednesday, September 13, in round one and will play Verwood Town if they beat New Milton. Laverstock also made it to the third round las year, but were beat by Hamsworth 4-1.
Gareth Horner's Amesbury Town will play away to Premier Division Portland United, on Tuesday, September 12, in the first round and will play Lymington Town in the second round, if they can beat Portland. The Blues only made it to the second round last season, after losing heavily to Blackfield & Langley 9-0.
Rae Hughes' Bemerton Heath Harlequins will come into the competition in the Second Round and will play at home to Hamble Club, on Tuesday, September 12, Bemerton lost to Bashley 1-0 in the third round in last seasons competition.
