Kyle Russell is currently on trial at Salisbury FC.

Manager Steve Claridge has confirmed he will train with the squad on Thursday and be looked at in more detail during their friendly on Saturday, July 1 against Portsmouth.

The winger has previously had a trial for Birmingham City said he received a call from his agent regarding a trial at Salisbury and said: “I said yes straight away without any hesitation.”

Russell has had spells with Maltese clubs Santa Lucia Falcons and Ta'Xbiex, as well as having a trial with Devon side Torquay.

He was planning on travelling to Brazil to play, before he was offered a trial at the Ray Mac.

He said: “I am very excited to be given this opportunity by Salisbury FC.

“They are a fantastic club with one of my heroes, Steve Claridge as the manager.”

The journeyman, has also played in Australia and China, and has made a few appearances for Staines before picking up injuries.
