SALISBURY FC will take on Weston-super-Mare at the Ray Mac on Saturday, July 29 at 3pm, in their penultimate pre-season friendly, before the season kicks off on Saturday, August 12 away at Mangotsfield.

Weston who play in the National League South were previously managed by former Salisbury City player Scott Bartlett, who made over 400 appearance and was part of the Whites squad who earned promotion into the conference. But he has recently moved to newly promoted to League Two Forest Green Rovers to take up the role as academy manager, following a seven month spell at Weston.

The Whites come into the game following a 4-1 win over local rivals Downton, where new strikers Marvin Brooks and Mark Francis both grabbed their first goals for the club and a 1-0 loss at Andover Town.

This will be the final pre-season friendly for Marc McGregor’s side before they start their league campaign against Poole Town on Saturday, August 5.

The Seagulls finished 15th in the National League South last season, have also had a busy pre-season with games against Bristol Rovers, Plymouth Argyle, Forest Green Rovers and Cheltenham Town.

Tickets for the game are priced at £6 for adults, £4 for students and seniors, £1 for U16's and U5’s are free.
