A FATHER and son both scored 108 runs on the same day for different cricket teams.

Dad Steve Turner, who plays for Hyde seconds, and son Alex (15) who plays for Ellingham seconds, both scored an identical score for their respective sides.

Alex scored his 108, which included 14 fours in 38 overs when playing for Ellingham II’s against Amesbury, in the County Division 4 League, with his team falling for 180 all out. Amesbury won by four wickets.

Steve scored his 108 when his Hyde II’s side played Ferndown, with Hyde all out 264, Ferndown could only manage 166.

The father scored 18 fours and one six in 25 overs, he was supported by J Kinnision (76), Thomas Tuddenham and Joe Norfolk.
