SALISBURY defender Calum Brockway is working his way back to fitness with Hamble Club.

The former Sholing and Folland Sports defender has joined the Sydenhams Premier new boys on a dual signing from the Whites.

Brockway, who has been out with a long-term shoulder injury, was eased back into action by Salisbury playing for their development side.

Now on the next stage of his comeback, he went straight into Hamble’s starting line-up for Saturday’s 1-1 Sydenhams Premier Division draw at Alresford Town.

Alresford took the lead when Geoff Dunn was pulled back for a penalty and Tom Sands converted from the spot.

Dougie Rowe grabbed a second-half leveller for Hamble Club who were reduced to ten men when PJ McLean was sent off.

Alresford have sent their congratulations to manager Richard Luffman and his partner Rachel on the arrival of their baby boy Archie.

The Magpies return to action on Wednesday evening at home to Andover Town in the Hampshire FA Senior Cup. The winners will host Eversley & California in round two.
