BEMERTON Heath Harlequins continued their recent great form with a 1-0 victory in the ninth against tenth clash as they hosted Bashley.
In a very close game, chances were limited for both sides.
Bemerton struggled to put many passes together all night but still looked solid at the back.
During the second half Bemerton put Jack Slade up front with Robbie Matthews and from then on Bemerton dominated the rest of the game.
Bemerton scored the only goal of the game on 75 minutes when a corner was headed out only as far as Elliott Cross on the edge of the box and the midfield dispatched it in to the top left hand corner to seal the points.
After the game Bemerton manager Rae Hughes said: “It was an ugly win, we didn’t get going at all tonight but a great three points against another inform team.
"We have two tough fixtures coming up now so this win was important for us.”
Next for Bemmy is a home game against title chasing Blackfield and Langley and then on Tuesday night they travel to Shaftesbury
