SALISBURY enjoyed their first win league of the season as they beat visiting Dorchester 3-0 at the Ray Mac.
The home side gave a debut to goalkeeper Jake Hallett, released by Norwich City and grew up in Southampton.
The Whites were also boosted by the re-signing of Tom Whelan and he also went straight into the starting XI.
The home side took 15 minutes to take the lead against the Magpies, as Dan Fitchett scored following a Salisbury corner.
Seven minutes after the interval, the lead was doubled as Jake Wannell headed home.
The game as a contest was ended in the space of two minutes as sub Luke Hopper made it 3-0.
A minute later, any hopes Dorchester had of getting anything out of the game were ended, after they were reduced to 10 men, when Callum Rose was sent-off, after he was shown a second yellow card.
After the game, manager Steve Claridge said: "We deserved the win as I felt we were the better side, but I think we can still play better. I think scoring first really helped us, as they had to open up."
Next up for the Whites is a home tie in the FA Cup on Saturday, when Hamble Club are the visitors
