WINTERBOURNE Cricket Club was recently announced as this year’s recipient of the Hampshire Cricket League Ground of the Year award.
The club fields first and second XI’s in the league and the award is made on the basis of assessments by visiting clubs of pitch, outfield and facilities.
The award is a well-earned accolade for groundkeeper Will Hearsey and his team of volunteers.
The club received its award at a presentation evening held at the Ageas Bowl last week.
Winterbourne's men's first XI finished 13th in this year's Hampshire Cricket League Division 4 West.
