SALISBURY FC's Women is not taking part in a league season this year but hopes to return to competitive action next year.
The team has dropped out of the league and did not fulfil any of their planned friendlies.
A club spokesperson told the Journal: "Unfortunately, the women’s manager had to stop due to illness; we could not find a suitable replacement quickly. So we decided to sit this season out.
"We have a new coach, and training is taking place on Tuesdays and Thursdays. After the holiday, we will be looking to appoint a new manager and with a new infrastructure to allow the women's team to grow with strength and a more solid footing in the future".
Salisbury FC Women's Facebook page said on July 24 that the club was entering 'new beginnings'.
