Salisbury Ladies 4s have bounced back in emphatic style following relegation from South Central Women’s Forest 1 division last season, to win the South Central Women’s Forest 2 league - clear by seven points and having secured the title with two matches still to play.

It’s been a consistently excellent season for the women’s fourth team who, with a refreshed formation at the start of the year, have only conceded one loss in 22 matches.

The cohesion developed early on between players has resulted in some free-flowing attacking play and an ever-reliant defensive line throughout the season.

With a roughly half-and-half split between adult and junior (under 18) players there’s been a perfect combination of experience and energy with important individual development, but also a brilliant team atmosphere.

Everything came together perfectly for the Ladies 4s this season, and we are now looking forward to stepping up our game to take on the league above.

Elsewhere in the Competition sides of Salisbury’s women’s section, the fifth XI team secured fourth place in the same Forest league on the last day of the season, a fantastic result for a team that brought together players stepping up from the club’s development squad with other more experienced players in the league side.
