WILTSHIRE Seniors kept their 100 per cent record intact after facing Isle of Wight Seniors in ECB National County Cricket.
Put in to bat, Wiltshire struggled to score runs on a two-paced wicket and slow outfield and were bowled out in the 45th over for a disappointing 122 with Steve Copland (Lacock CC) 36, Graham Chandler (Collingbourne Ducis CC) 36 and Jon Haines (Goatacre CC) 20 the main run getters.
However, the Wiltshire seniors unbeaten record was never in doubt as the Islanders had no answer to the turning off spin of Tim Cowley (South Wilts CC) four wickets for just seven runs from nine overs and the slow medium pace of Geoff Ramsey (Farley CC) whose three wickets for 27 completed the rout as the islanders capitulated to 66 all out.
Also, opening bowler Tim Mynott (Coombe Bissett CC) bowled beautifully with one wicket for just nine runs in his allocated spell.
Wiltshire travel to Callington CC in Cornwall on Sunday, 15 June.
