NOMANSLAND made it a hat-trick of victories with an emphatic nine-wicket win at Fawley on Saturday.

Asked to bat, the home side started well enough and advanced to 26 without loss. Paul Hickman then chopped a ball from James Mason onto his stumps and was out for 21 and in the same over Mason yorked the dangerous Jason Ford for a duck. Mason picked up a third wicket with the score on 34, but John Church with 20 held them up for a while. Fawley then lost three wickets with the score on 64 and the innings ended in the 26th over when, with nine wickets down, Andy Boba injured his knee hitting a boundary and had to retire hurt. Mason (3-25), Sam Dempster (2-30) and baby of the team Matt Rowland (3-16) took the bowling plaudits backed up with some good catching.

Nomansland started their reply well, with Gary Loveless and Sam Dempster going along at a steady six per over. Dempster was then well caught for a sparkling 30, but Loveless was joined by Simon Smith and the experienced pair took them to victory in the 16th over. Loveless finished with 23 not out and Smith remained unbeaten on 34 as Nomansland consolidated their mid-table status in Regional Division Two (West)
