WHAT a difference a week makes.

Redlynch's three sides bounced back from a miserable day the weekend before last to return to winning ways.

Ian Tanner's firsts made the long trip to Liphook for their County Division 3 North contest where, despite a fine century from home stumper Richard Covey (103), his teammates were unable to stay with him and were bowled out for 180.

Ben Brown and Nathan Pollard put early brakes on the innings before Rhys Williams (2-15), Tom Emm (2-49) and James Taylor (3-28) got among the wickets.

Two run outs added to the misery as Covey was the ninth wicket to fall in a smart bowling and fielding display from the Wiltshire side.

In reply, Tanner (54*) played anchor role as Dave Webber took a leaf from Covey's book with a knock of great strength and pulchritude to notch up 68 as the pair put on 108 for the first wicket. James Benson, Matt Truckle and Jon Hatchett all fell cheaply before Williams (31*) joined the skipper to calm things down and overhaul the target in just 31 overs.

Meanwhile, in Regional Division 2 West, the seconds also showed well, advancing to 210-6 against Christchurch. After Rich Whitmarsh hit a dogged 46, Ben Vincent (58) claimed a fine half century and was well supported by Will Powell (31). The visitors lost early wickets thanks to Jack Coburn, with a career best 6-30 and Russ Church (1-35). Although C. Dear(75) and G. Darwin (41) threatened to spoil the party for a while, skipper Stan Boardman notched a brace at the end as Christchurch were halted 15 runs short.

And the thirds pulled off a fine win against early leaders Laverstock & Ford.

Tom Bayford (92) and Andy Church (32) added 114 for the third wicket as their side posted 243-6. In reply, Jack Sobucinski (3-45) struck twice in his first over, with Katie Sell accounting for the dangerous Gary Shears (66). Mick Wright bagged a brace to ensure an 14-run victory.
