REDLYNCH and Hale kept up the pressure on top two sides East Woodhay and Michelmersh and Timsbury in the race for promotion from County Division 3 North.

The Woodfalls-based outfit racked up a 117-run win over OTs and Romsey which takes them up to third.

The in-form Dave Webber (46) and another half century from young James Benson (53) set them on their way, with Matt Truckle (39) and Rhys Williams (24) shoring up the middle order.

Kev Hopkins (20) and James Taylor (18) kept up the momentum to set a challenging target for the hosts. In reply, Ben Brown reaped 4-40 and Webber 2-31 to make serious inroads to the home side's run chase.

Although Bob Pearce notched up a brave 48 towards the end, Williams and Hopkins (2-10) polished off the tail, leaving OTs & Romsey all out for 160.

Meanwhile at headquarters, the seconds defeated Dorset Indians in Regional Division 2 West. Ben Lindsay (41) and Ben Vincent (34) were the main contributors helping their side to 167 all out with Lokesh 4-20. Michael Brown returned 3-24, with Dom Sell, Russ Church and Ben Vincent, all bagging a brace to leave Dorset Indians 131 all out and short by 36 runs.

Winterslow Seconds' "guest" player Chris De Wayman ruled out any chance of 3/3 wins for the club, when he struck huge boundaries in an unbeaten 83 to overhaul the 157-8 set by the club's thirds. Graham Smith (30), Ewan Tanner (36) and Jack Subucinski (30) being the mainstays, but Will Smith (45*) and De Wayman crossed the line with eight wickets in hand.

In the Under 11s New Forest Cup Final, the Wiltshire boys were runners up to Pylewell Park, who set 118 to win.

Will Musgrove and Ethan Lindsay made a great fist of chasing down the target but were stopped on 83-5 as the overs ran out.
