ALTHOUGH he hit a century, Jim Edwards finished up on the losing side as Ellingham 3rds lost to Whiteparish 2nds by 15 runs in Regional Division 3 West.
Whiteparish’s 242-8 owed much to Hocking (73) and Ellingham’s response was built around Edwards (102) and Mike Dodd (53) but they were restricted to 227-9.
Verwood 2nds’ 161-9 was not enough to stop Ferndown-Wayfarers from winning by four wickets thanks to Forrest (61 no).
Farley 2nds looked to be heading for a big score against Burley II by once Stagg (77) and Jenkins (42) were out, Jim Burry (6-43) ran through the order and they were out for 180.
Only Peter Stacey (75) had any staying power as Burley were dismissed for 126 with Webster taking 5-25.
In Regional Division 2 West, Ringwood were rolled over for 104 by Bashley (Rydal) V who won by six wickets and, chasing a Great Dunford total of 280-8, Alderholt were crushed by 192 runs as they surrendered for 88.
