SALISBURY Ladies firsts squandered a two-goal cushion as they were pegged back by Bristol outfit Jaspers in a 3-3 draw in West Clubs Women's Hockey League Premier Division 2A.
It took just 10 minutes for their opening goal to come from Anike Drage.
There was good play from defence through to midfield particularly from Ellen Trott. With relentless pressure against the Jasper keeper, five short corners were awarded to Salisbury in the first half, but the ladies were unable to convert.
However, a second goal arrived when Miranda MacTaggart picked up the ball and sent Drage on her way to complete her brace.
Salisbury conceded just one short corner in the first half but Jaspers made sure they put it away with a good strike on goal.
Salisbury stretched their lead in the second half through Kerry Jackson.
But the next ten minutes didn't go to plan for the visitors who conceded twice.
It's a double-header this weekend for Salisbury Ladies. Saturday sees them host City of Bath (11.30am) in the league, followed by Wootton Bassett Ladies firsts on Sunday in the Investec Trophy (1.30pm).
