SALISBURY Ladies' firsts are finding their groove in West Clubs Women's Hockey League Premier Division 2A after stamping their authority over Chippenham.
Doubles from Vicki Brewis, Kerry Jackson and Lisa Lovatt saw the women trounce their visitors 6-1 to jump into fourth, now one point behind third-place in the league.
The hosts came roaring out of the blocks and found themselves five goals ahead by half time, with Alana Mercer pulling off a clutch of fine saves in goal.
Lily Jackson, who has stepped into the team this year, had a fantastic game with lots of attacking play down the right wing and assisted with many of the goals.
They look for much of the same when they travel to Swindon on Saturday (11am).
Elsewhere, in the ladies' section, the seconds and thirds drew 2-2 and 3-3 to Bath Buccs and Chippenham, respectively.
The fourths were thrashed by Bournemouth 9-0, while the fifths smashed Swanage and Wareham 5-0.
