JUBILANT The Wanderers got their maiden piece of silverware of the season last week, and they will be hoping for more before the season shuts down.

After retaining the Charity A Cup, with a comfortable two goal victory over Devizes Inn at Wick Lane on Wednesday night thanks to Chris Guthrie and skipper Andrew Duffy netting, the next task is sealing the league title.

They demonstrated their serious bid for the double when they stuffed second-placed Durrington Dynamos 8-0 following a stunning second half show.

The Salisbury and District (Saturday) League crown is destined for the leaders, who struck seven times after Duffy’s first half opener to secure an emphatic win.
