THE Wanderers continued their rich vein of form as they swept aside Sarum Youth Reserves netting eight goals for a second week running.

Adam Jones kicked things off for the visitors, now in second and equal on points with Alderbury, by breaking the deadlock on 19 minutes after several chances were wasted.

Jones scored again moments later, coolly converting a free kick to double his tally.

A lapse in concentration let Sarum score with their first attack just after the half hour mark, but after Tim Fewins nodded in the rebound following Michael Pratt’s thunderbolt which struck the bar, there was no looking back for The Wanderers.

The pattern in the second half replicated the first, as Jones and Fewins linked up well, and Fewins tapped home the fourth.

Last season’s players’ player of the year, Jones, soon made it five by firing home his hat-trick.

The same man waltzed his way past the home defence to delicately chip number six past a dejected Sarum custodian before Fewins got his third.

Wanderers’ skipper Steph Tinkler laced home the eighth before Sarum converted a consolation to leave it 8-2.
