THE eagerly-awaited top-of-the-table clash saw Stockton and Codford and The Wanderers share a thrilling 3-3 draw.

Adam Jones restored parity for the visitors after falling behind in the 26th minute.

Jones then struck again for a second, and soon after Chris Guthrie tucked home a third.

But, after coming from behind, the Wanderers chucked away their two-goal lead and suddenly it was all square. Both keepers were called to make camera saves in the latter stages as the scoreline remained unchanged at three a piece.

The Wanderers boss Liam McConnell, whose side are separated at the top from from Stockton by a plus three goal difference, said: “Ultimately our decisionmaking wasn't at its best but, saying that, credit to the lads for turning the deficit around midway through the first half.

We scored three and should have held on when we were two goals to the good.”

Goals continued to flood in at another Salisbury and District Premier clash. This one involved Amesbury Kings Arms and Chalke Valley.

Amesbury bounced back from last week’s defeat to overturn Chalke Valley with a neat 3-1 win at Devizes Inn.

Danny Goodall opened the scoring as he burst past the home defence and slotted home after half an hour.

Goodall then doubled his tally by unleashing an unbelievable strike into the top corner from 40 yards.

Jon Murphy put the Kings three goals ahead shortly after half-time to effectively kill off the match. Devizes Inn scored a consolation from the spot late on.

In Division 1, Durrington Working Men’s Club reached the summit after a hardfought win over bottom side Deacon Alms.

A thunderous free kick from Tom Symes gave Deacon the advantage but Conor Cutler levelled things up following smart work and Durrington went on to snatch the three points in the second half as it finished 2-1.

Porton, meanwhile, had a break from the league as they were on Wiltshire Junior Cup duty. The goals poured in for Porton as they destroyed Trowbridge with the Perfect Seven.

Kyle Tryhorn and Si Roberts struck before Andy Fung netted four goals in 25 minutes to give Porton a sixnil advantage at the interval.

A seventh was snuffed out when Nick Jackson curled home his first of the season.
