PERSISTENT Shrewton United twice came from behind to conjure a last minute point away at struggling Corsham Town Reserves.
The visitors entered the game without free-scoring striker Craig Lewis, who completed his switch to Amesbury Town last week, which forced a reshuffle in Scott Young’s fray.
Corsham made the most of Shrews’ missing marksman by taking their only chance of the opening 45 minutes to lead 1-0.
Shrews responded in the second half through a spot kick after Dom Jackson was fouled inside the penalty box. George Plank fired home to restore parity.
Poor defending let Shrews down once again as they conceded from a tap in after a free kick had not been dealt with.
But in the 90th minute, Dean Foot came to the visitors’ rescue. Plank exerted speed on the left wing and whipped in a menacing cross for Foot to smash home at the far post to snatch a point in Wiltshire Premier Division.
Neighbours Sarum Youth Seniors were eliminated from the Corsham Print Senior Cup by Supermarine Sports FC 3-0.
