REIGNING champions Alderbury opened up a three-point gap at the top of Salisbury and District (Saturday) Premier League with a 5-1 win over Amesbury Kings Arms.
The hosts, who had no referee and had to elect someone from their ranks to be the man in the middle, got off to a flying start inside five minutes with two quick-fire goals, which set up the win.
Also 5-1 winners were Porton Sports, who played their first 90 minutes after last week’s match was abandoned, over bottom-stranded Sarum Youth Reserves.
Elsewhere, Seb Dawes set-up a 1-0 win to steer Chalke
Valley into third spot when they visited D.I. UTD and South Newton and Stockton and Codford remain hunting their first
wins after playing out a goalless draw.
