LAVERSTOCK and Ford Ladies reiterated their valiant spirit for a second week running after recovering from falling behind three times to high-flying Melksham.

The comeback from Karen Musselwhite's charges to share a captivating 3-3 draw, meaning Laverstock are the only team to preserve an unbeaten status in

Wiltshire County Women's and Girls League.

Lavvy equalised 22 minutes after going behind from a corner when Sheridan Palks' header was deflected in off a Melksham defender.

Melksham then scored a second goal on ten minutes before half time to go 2-1 up.

Despite Kelly Burton heading home another equalizer, Melksham regained their lead after the hour mark, a strike the Lavvy keeper couldn't stop.

But ten minutes later, parity was restored for a third time as Palks found the back of the net for her second.

"I am really pleased with how my team is progressing. Having a team of ladies from 16 - 30 all join up together to form Laverstock Ladies and all get on well playing as a team makes all the difference," said Musselwhite.

"We are, so far, the only team not to have lost a game and with last week playing top of the league, and coming away with a draw, it shows how my team's developing."
