Reaction to win against Bishop's Stortford

Scott Bartlett...

"We're so close now, but it's only half the job done, so we've got to make sure it doesn't slip out of our grasp.

"If we play anything like we've done in the last two games we've got a great chance."

Robbie Matthews...

"I'm just buzzing at the moment. I want Conference football, the club wants it and I'm determined to try and get up there.

"At the start of the first half of extra time we started getting crosses in left, right and centre and were all over them.

"It was a good flick by Marvin and I sort of gambled and got in front of the defender and luckily enough it fell through in front of the goal and I just put it past the 'keeper."

Danny Clay...

"It's a great result for the boys.

"Tubbsy scored the first with a great finish then Marvin came on and freshened things up and created two goals out of nothing.

"He did really well when he came on, but all the boys did really well and worked really hard."

Aaron Cook...

"I've played in a few extra times before but I don't think I've ever felt that tired.

"We'll go to the final and we'll go there to win. It's obviously not nice going out in a semi-final, but you don't want to turn up for a final and get beat, that's probably worse."

Marvin Brown...

"We finished the game really, really well and hopefully we can take that into the next game. You have to enjoy it, but reaching the final means nothing if you don't win. The most important thing now is winning the final on Sunday."

Mike Fowler...

"It's always nice to score your first goal, but in the play-offs as well is even better.

"It was a real team game today - there's no point naming names, everybody worked hard.

"The tempo started high and we managed to sustain it. I think we deserved to win anyway, it probably should have been put away before extra time."

Nick Holmes...

"It was a good advert for the Conference South and it goes to show that when you've got two sets of players who just want to go out there and play football and not influence games by diving and whingeing and having big melees in the middle of the park when there's a foul, that football can be very entertaining."

Martin Hayes (Bishop's Stortford manager)...

"We've had two good games - they've been close and tight, but we made a few mistakes today. We made some simple errors and we paid the price for it. I've got a young side and they've got a lot to learn but we can regroup and hopefully do it again next season."
