SALISBURY CITY are seven points clear at the summit of Conference South after coasting to a 3-1 victory at the Crabble Stadium.

After a frustrating first half, which City dominated but had nothing to show for it, they ran riot after the interval.

Chris McPhee broke the deadlock six minutes into the second-half with a well-executed header from Ugo Udoji’s inswinging cross.

The opening goal boosted the visitors' performance and they continued to pressurize the Dover defence, and a second was on its way.

It landed on the 74th minute as Jamie White added to his batch of goals and provided his side with some breathing space with a teasing finish, which left Dover keeper Mitch Walker standing like a statue.

White was in the spotlight again, but this time he created Salisbury’s third of the afternoon, crossing for McPhee to send a looping header into the roof of the net.

Despite Ben May smashing home a penalty late on, the Whites magnificently kept their shape and discipline to bring home a crucial three points from Dover.
