JOINED Salisbury on loan from Luton Town during the winter transfer window and the 19-year-old immediately made his mark at the heart of the City defence alongside skipper Aaron Cook.

The highly-rated youngster, who can also play as a right-back, is a first year professional with The Hatters, having progressed through the Kenilworth Road club's youth set-up.

Although an unused substitute on three occasions for Luton in the Championship last term, he has yet to make a first team appearance.

Ed, who is of Ghanaian descent, had previously spent a short period on loan with Walton & Hersham, where he made seven appearances for the Surrey side.

Made his Whites debut in the 3-1 home win against Oxford United on January 12, 2008.

Was recalled by the Coca-Cola League One side on March 28, having impressed in his 14 appearances for the Whites.
