SIGNED pro for Whites at the start of the 2007/08 campaign after impressing in pre-season trials.

Ian Herring is a midfield/utility player who almost signed for the Whites earlier in his career, but after playing at the Ray Mac on loan, he instead chose to ply his trade with Wiltshire rivals Chippenham Town.

Made a handful of appearances for his home town club Swindon Town between 2001 and 2004. Injuries and suspensions have limited his first team appearances so far this season. Recently on loan at Blue Square South side Weston-super-Mare - recalled in April due to City's injury/suspension problems.
