Simon has also played for Swanage & Herston and Dorchester Town, from where he initially joined Salisbury in March 1993. He had five successful years with the Whites - winning the Southern League title with them - before rejoining Weymouth in 1998. Another versatile and highly respected player, Simon will also take charge of the club’s reserve team for the 2007/08 campaign. Played his 300th game for the club last season, returning from a loan spell at Dorchester Town in time to share in City’s play-off success. Has enjoyed a highly successful start to his managerial career - the reserves having won all of their league and cup matches so far this season (as of February 15) - theirwinning run stretching to more than 20 matches.
