FORMER Salisbury City player/manager Darrell Clarke will be punching Old Sarum into the satnav next season after his Bristol Rovers were relegated from League Two on Saturday.
The curtains were brought down on their 94-year spell in the Football League following a 0-1 defeat to Mansfield Town.
Rovers only needed a point to escape the drop but with fellow strugglers Northampton Town and Wycombe Wanderers picking up victories, they were sent down to Conference Premier on goal difference.
City will also play Chris McPhee’s former outfit Torquay United and Conference South and North champions Eastleigh and Telford respectively. While the winners of the regional play-offs between Dover Athletic V Ebbsfleet and Altrincham V Guiseley will join non-league’s top flight.
