WE need you, is Steve Claridge's last-ditch plea to anyone who is yet to buy a ticket for Saturday's crunch FA Vase semi final second leg with Hereford.

The boss is asking for the city's backing in Salisbury's march to the Wembley arch as they look to overturn a 1-0 deficit.

Mustapha Bundu's header is the only goal which separates the sides at the midway point between the two favourites.

Salisbury have about 300 tickets of the 2,707 left to sell by Thursday otherwise more will be sold back to Hereford, who have already sold their 657 tickets. That is a situation Claridge is desperate to avoid as he hopes for a 3,364 sell-out crowd.

"Go and buy a ticket," he told JournalSport.

"They (Hereford) stuck us in a corner and they've got nine tenths of the ground and we don't want to open the ground up anymore for their fans."

"We've got to sell our tickets.

"If it's not done by Thursday we will probably be sending the tickets back.

"People have got an opportunity to come and snap those tickets up.

"We need you."

"We need everyone to rally round the cause, and everybody to get behind us. And if you do that, then hopefully you will pull us through."

Some 600 fans made the trip to a bouncing Edgar Street on Saturday where they acted as the 12th man.

And Claridge, who turns 50 next month, wants more of the "brilliant" support and has vowed for his side to give it their best shot in their quest to "cause an upset".

"They got behind us," he added.

"To get 600 people is absolutely fantastic - and they were brilliant for us.

"And at the end they applauded us; stick with us and that's what we are going to need on Saturday.

"We need everybody to be patient and have a real go for us and stay with us.

"We'll have a go for you and try our best.

"We do stand a really good opportunity and, if we play well, we might just cause an upset."
