A SHOPPING arcade in the city centre has netted a sponsorship deal with Salisbury FC.

Cross Keys Arcade, which has been in the city for more than 25 years, is providing training kits for the Whites.

CEO Amanda Newbery, who is also co-owner of Chapel Nightclub, said: “We’re delighted to have Cross Keys as a sponsor."

"Our relationship is a great example of working closely with our neighbours. Visitors to our home matches are often local but those visiting from afar often stop in town and Cross Keys Arcade provides somewhere central with great shops and a wonderful choice of places to eat.”

Michael Butcher - commercial finance director of Quantum Group and the landlord of Cross Keys Arcade - said: “It is a great privilege to agree this sponsorship with the club.

"Quantum is committed to being a part of the wider community in Salisbury and continues to make investments in the city, including our long-awaited redevelopment of the Old Manor Hospital. Salisbury thrives on keeping business local and our entire ethos is to be at the heart of the local community; our sponsorship of Salisbury FC is part of this.”

The sponsorship deal will run until the end of the 2016/17 season.
