SALISBURY claimed their first league win on the road since the end of August with a 5-1 hammering of Larkhall Athletic at Plain Ham.

The visitors' goal spree started on 13 minutes when Kieran Parselle's driving shot was diverted into the net by Larkhall's Ollie Price.

Their lead was soon doubled after Lewis Benson crossed in from the right and leading scorer Tommy Wright headed home from close range.

Larkhall reduced the arrears moments later - Joe Raynes tucking home Jamie Lyon' set up.

Two minutes after the restart, another inviting cross from Benson was headed home by Justin Bennett.

The home side tried to respond through Joe Tumelty on 60 minutes after a three-man move involving Jamie Lyons and Dean Griffiths.

However, Salisbury remained in control and Sam Roberts added a fourth on 80 minutes before George Colson struck a fifth deep into injury time - second successive goal for the wing back.

The victory moves Steve Claridge's side up to eighth in the Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West table with 23 points, seven points off the play-offs but with a game in hand.

Former Whites Robbie Matthews and Sam Wilson return to the Ray Mac tomorrow night with Winchester City in the second round of the Southern League Cup (7.45pm). They smashed ten past Dorchester Town in the previous round.
