TWO Tommy Wright goals booked Salisbury's place in the third round of the Southern League Challenge Cup on Tuesday night.
The Sutton United loanee ensured Whites avenged their defeat to Winchester City at the start of the season with a comfortable 2-0 second round win, watched by 348 at Old Sarum.
In the absence of the unwell Justin Bennett, partner-in-crime Wright took centre stage with goals in the 71st and 86th minutes.
The opener stemmed from the breakdown of a short corner by Winchester – Reece Rusher running the length of the pitch and squaring for Wright to dance through and drill his shot past Lewis Noice.
Fifteen minutes later it was all over for City as Wright headed in his second from Calum Brockway’s free-kick.
Whites return to Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West on Saturday as they host third-placed Tiverton Town (3pm).
