DIDCOT Town are confident that tomorrow's clash with Salisbury will go ahead (3pm), despite recent downpours.

The pitch at the Draycott Engineering Loop Meadow Stadium is currently playable after some heavy rain this week.

The rain is forecast until 10pm tonight but is showing it will be clear all day tomorrow.

A spokesman from the Railwaymen said: "It's playable and if it continues to be dry we should be fine.

"If there are any issues, we would normally try and do an inspection as early as possible."

Fifth-placed Whites make the trip to Oxfordshire in Southern Division One South and West looking to boost their play-off challenge.

They romped to a 4-0 victory over Yate Town on Saturday thanks to second half goals from Tommy Wright, Tom Whelan and Justin Bennett (2).

However, they will be without two of those players who started in that game including Kieran Parselle, who has returned to Newport County after a six-month loan spell, and Mason Walsh who has re-located after sealing a new job.

The hosts, meanwhile, are still searching for a first win of 2017 following four successive draws.

In the reverse fixture four months ago, Whites won 3-2.
