SALISBURY FC boss Steve Claridge said the club’s new signing Jesse Waller-Lassen was everything he imagined following his recent good form in the team.

Despite only making four appearances for the Whites since joining on a dual registration from Team Solent, Waller-Lassen has certainly made an impact.

The ex-Tottenham youngster has only played the four times due to a suspension which he picked up playing for Solent, keeping him out of the side for two weeks.

Claridge, who spoke with Waller-Lassen last season about a move to Salisbury, spoke to JournalSport after beating Amesbury Town last Tuesday.

He said: “I haven’t really seen enough of Jesse.

“But he is everything I imagined. He could be the difference between going up and staying in this division.”

Waller-Lassen who led Solent as captain to the Wessex League Cup last season and the last 16 of this year’s FA Vase, will add to Salisbury’s fire-power going forward.

With Justin Bennett back from injury and Tommy Wright bang on form, there will certainly be competition for places.

The Whites boss spoke about players coming back into the squad and said: “We’ve got a very strong squad and all of a sudden and there’s plenty competition for places.”

The Southampton Solent University student will graduate in July this year.

Having previously had trials at League Two Yeovil Town, he will be looking to make a strong impression at the Ray Mac.
