SALISBURY FC scored an emphatic eight goals to beat Cirencester Town on Tuesday.

Two goals each from Marvin Brooks and Kane O’Keefe, and goals from Chris Shephard, Rhys Baggridge, Stuart Green and Tom Whelan wrapped up the points for the Whites.

The deadlock was broken after just two minutes, when O’Keefe swept home after great play by Shephard.

The Whites doubled their lead on 21 minutes after Brooks cushioned a Lewis Benson header back across goal for a easy tap in by Shephard.

It was 3-0 ten minutes before the half. Sam Roberts played a great ball to Shephard, who played the ball to Brooks who slotted home.

The away side pulled a goal back just before half time, through substitute Felipe Barcelos, as the Whites went in 3-1 leaders.

Four minutes into the second half, Brooks got his second of the game to make it 4-1. After Sam Roberts’ shot was saved, the striker pounced to stroke home.

The Gloucestershire side then scored another and this time striker Ben Whitehead was the goal scorer.

Defender Baggridge was the next person to get on the scoresheet. He headed home from a Benson free kick to restore the three goal cushion for the Whites.

On 76 minutes, substitute Green made it six, tapping home after a superb knock down by O’Keefe.

Two minutes later, O’Keefe grabbed his second of the game. He scored from a Green cross from the right, after good play by Benson.

Number eight was scored just two minutes before time, as Whelan let rip from 20 yards and his deflected shot nestled into the bottom right corner.
